Avengers Doomsday Trailer Debuts at CinemaCon 2026 | Robert Downey Jr as Doctor Doom

Marvel kept the full-length footage behind closed doors, but attendees described three massive moments including Doom catching Thor's hammer with one hand

📖 4 min read

As of right now, you cannot officially watch the full-length Avengers: Doomsday trailer online. The footage described below was an exclusive debut at CinemaCon 2026 in Las Vegas on Thursday, April 16. Marvel Studios has kept the CinemaCon footage behind closed doors, a deliberate strategy to build hype among theater owners before releasing it to the general public. But based on descriptions from those in the room, the trailer confirms that Avengers: Doomsday will be the most ambitious crossover in Marvel history.

Where and When You Can See the Trailer

Disney confirmed during the CinemaCon presentation that the theatrical re-release of Avengers: Endgame on September 25, 2026 will include the first public screening of the Doomsday trailer along with additional exclusive footage. The re-release will feature a new “Infinity Vision” format, a proprietary display technology that Disney has been developing alongside IMAX.

In the meantime, Marvel has released four character-focused teasers between late 2025 and early 2026, all available on the official Marvel Entertainment YouTube channel. These shorter clips focus on Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) as a father, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) praying to Odin, the Fox-Verse X-Men and their return, and the Fantastic Four meeting the Wakandans. Here is the most recent teaser:

Trailer Highlights | The Three Biggest Moments from CinemaCon

Multiple attendees provided detailed descriptions of the footage shown behind closed doors. Three moments stood out above all others and have dominated social media discussion since Thursday evening.

Doctor Doom's Voice. Robert Downey Jr. reportedly uses a “Latverian accent” and a metallic voice modulator that makes him sound completely different from Tony Stark. Attendees described the voice as cold, authoritative, and deliberately stripped of the charisma and humor that defined Stark across 11 years of MCU films. This is not Tony Stark in a mask. It is a distinct character performed by the same actor, and the effect, by all accounts, is unsettling in the best possible way.

The Hammer Catch. In a direct visual parallel to Endgame, Thor throws his hammer at Doom during what appears to be a large-scale confrontation. Doom catches it with one hand without flinching. The crowd reportedly erupted. The moment is clearly designed to establish Doom's power level relative to the Avengers, a single gesture that communicates everything the audience needs to know about the threat he represents.

The X-Men/Avengers Face-Off. The trailer allegedly features a massive battle sequence between Gambit (Channing Tatum) and Shang-Chi (Simu Liu). This is the first time Fox-era mutants and MCU heroes have been shown in direct combat, confirming that the multiverse collision at the center of Doomsday will pit legacy X-Men against the current Avengers roster before they unite against Doom. The choreography was described as “the best fight scene Marvel has ever cut for a trailer.”

Warning | Avoid “Leaked” Links

Because the news is trending heavily across social platforms, many sites and accounts are posting what they claim are “leaked” versions of the CinemaCon footage. Exercise caution. Disney is actively issuing DMCA takedowns on actual leaked footage across X and YouTube. Most videos currently titled “Official Trailer” on YouTube are fan-made concept trailers assembled from old Endgame and Fantastic Four clips. If the footage is not posted on Marvel's official channels, it is not the real trailer.

The confirmed public debut remains September 25, 2026, attached to the Avengers: Endgame Infinity Vision re-release. Avengers: Doomsday opens in theaters on May 1, 2027.
