Red Bull Dance Your Style is a global freestyle dance competition where dancers from any style, hip-hop, popping, locking, house, waacking, krump, and more, battle 1-on-1 to music they have never heard before. Music is selected by a live DJ who plays tracks spanning decades and genres, from funk and soul to modern pop and Afrobeats. Dancers hear each song for the first time during their battle, testing adaptability and musicality as much as raw technique.

After each 1-on-1 round, the MC asks the audience to choose. Spectators physically point toward the dancer they want to see advance. Red Bull staff count the visible majority, and the winner moves on immediately. There are no scores, no deliberation, and no appeals. The system is deliberately blunt: if the crowd likes you more, you win. This has produced upsets where technically superior dancers lose to performers with better stage presence and audience connection.
