Red Bull Dance Your Style runs city-level qualifiers across the United States from spring through fall 2026. Each city qualifier brings together 16 dancers (a mix of invited competitors and open qualifier winners) for a single-elimination, 1-on-1 bracket. All dance styles are welcome: hip-hop, popping, locking, house, waacking, krump, contemporary, and anything else a dancer brings.
The defining feature is crowd judging. After each battle, the audience votes by pointing at their preferred dancer. No judge panel, no scores, no deliberation. The crowd's majority decides who advances. City winners earn a spot at the USA National Final, where the process repeats at a higher level. The national champion represents the United States at the Dance Your Style World Final.
Red Bull has confirmed New York City (April 11) as the first 2026 qualifier. Additional cities are announced on a rolling basis, with past seasons including Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, Miami, and Philadelphia. Red Bull typically runs 8-12 U.S. city qualifiers per season, with the exact schedule depending on venue availability and regional demand.
The national final is expected in October 2026, with the host city announced mid-season. The World Final follows in November at an international venue, bringing together national champions from 30+ countries.
Dance Your Style has become one of Red Bull's fastest-growing event properties because it requires almost no equipment, scales to any venue size, and produces high-energy content that performs well on every social platform. The crowd-judging format makes it accessible to spectators who know nothing about dance technique, and the any-style-welcome policy means the competition is genuinely unpredictable. A house dancer can beat a breaker. A waacker can beat a popper. The audience decides what they value, and that changes city by city.
