The open-source AI client is designed for organizations that want to run AI workloads on their own infrastructure rather than route data through third-party cloud providers, positioning it as a privacy-first alternative to hosted AI platforms from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.

Thunderbolt ships as a self-hostable application that organizations can deploy on their own servers, giving IT and security teams direct control over where data is processed and stored.
