Forza Horizon 6 Pre-Sells 500K on Steam | Alinea Analyst Projects Better Launch Than FH5

With a month still to go before its May 19 release, Playground Games' open-world racer is tracking ahead of every benchmark its predecessor set on PC.

Forza Horizon 6 has reportedly pre-sold approximately 500,000 copies on Steam with roughly one month remaining before its May 19, 2026 launch, according to data published by market analytics firm Alinea Analytics. The firm's analysts suggest the highly anticipated open-world racer from Playground Games could have an "even better launch" than its predecessor, Forza Horizon 5, which launched in November 2021.

The figure is consistent with Alinea's broader tracking data for the title. The firm's updated numbers — which include over 3.3 million Steam wishlists and a projected 2 million units on day one across all platforms — point to one of the strongest pre-launch positions of any racing game in recent memory.

Forza Horizon 6 is set in Japan and launches May 19 on Xbox Series X|S and PC, with a PlayStation 5 version confirmed to follow. The game features over 550 cars, with the Toyota GR GT as the cover vehicle.
